Today, we finally broke through the cloud cover. Overnight the temperatures had dropped to 17 degrees, breaking a 100-year-old record low for the date. After lunch at the Gathering Place, we drove out to visit Farah.

We hadn't been there long when Janice & Dean arrived! This was Janice's first time meeting her new horse! Dean had given Farah some pets when he came down to see our progress on Monday but hadn't actually formally met her.

First things first, I had to show everyone where the cookie can is & of course Farah figured that out right away! Next, teaching her new friends how to give her a cookie & never mind if she licked their hands in the process!

I can already see we'll be bringing more chairs over. It was cold - I should have turned on my new propane heater, but we were too busy talking!

We all had so much fun! Never mind it was hardly 40 degrees in the barn! Farah absolutely loved having all the company & of course cookies & carrots too!

If there was any doubt as to whether Farah will be spoiled, we can lay it to rest. I won't have to worry she might get spoiled :-) The trick will be to limit the number of cookies to a reasonable daily allowance :-)
What a fun afternoon, and so loved seeing Farah so happy! Funny how you can read a horse so well. I think Janice and Dean have a "new hobby." God bless them for giving Farah her new home.
